Live In Care
Live-In Care and What It Comes With
With Frosts Home Care, you will receive a professional caregiver who will live in your home. You will be able to see their profile and speak with them prior to their start date
A caregiver is equipped to assist you in all areas of your daily life. They can provide support with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, if required. The caregiver can also help with planning meals, shopping for groceries, and preparing food. If you have medications, they will ensure you adhere to your prescription schedule. With a live-in caregiver, you can enjoy greater independence in your home while also having someone to care for your beloved pet. They will motivate you to maintain social connections with friends and family or even join you for a coffee at a local café. The type of care offered can range from companionship to more specialized support, depending on your individual needs. Check out our Case Studies page for further details
What are the expectations your carer has for you?
The live-in carer will expect to have a room to themselves to allow them privacy to sleep and spend time off in. Ideally, the room should have some form of storage space, fresh clean linen and a TV. Also, as carers use mobile phones or tablets to record the events of the day, then the internet is really important. The carer ideally will shop, cook and eat the same meals with you and therefore you will need to allow a household budget for groceries to include food for the carer.
Technology
At Frosts Home Care, we have adopted cutting-edge digital technology to enhance our services. Our live-in care clients will transition from traditional written care plan folders to using iPads or similar devices. This shift allows carers to efficiently record daily essentials, including personal care, meal intake, and medication schedules, while also documenting the day's events. In real time, carers can note who visited, any medical appointments attended, and social activities enjoyed, all of which can be shared with your next-of-kin through a specialized app. This ensures that family members, regardless of their location, can rest assured that your care needs are being thoroughly addressed
